HAZOP Chairing

Meet the Team

Let PM Group help your organisation minimise risk…

Hazard Studies are a well proven method of identifying potential hazards and operability problems in new and existing plant. Although many techniques exist, the most commonly used method is the Hazard and Operability Study – often referred to as the HAZOP Study. Through a structured 6 stage process, PM Group can help companies identify and resolve hazard scenarios that could adversely affect people, property or the environment.

PM Group can advise on the selection of the appropriate studies to be conducted as well as the provision of Hazard Study Leaders for the meetings themselves. Efficient studies on large projects in particular, have shown that it is often more time and cost effective to apply relevant Hazard Studies to selected parts of the plant/process rather than to follow an all encompassing programme.

PM Group can assist in determining the extent of hazard studies required and the competency of the study teams.

Why PM Group HAZOP?

PM Group have many years of project/risk management experience and offer a wide variety of Hazard Studies with a particular focus on HAZOP, using the latest HAZOP software to ensure a consistent and methodical approach. The HAZOP procedure involves systematically questioning every part of a design/manufacturing process to establish how deviations from the design intent can occur and if they could have a negative effect on safety and/or efficient operations.

What are the benefits of HAZOP to your organisation?

The PM Group HAZOP study not only identifies hazardous situations but it also reveals operational issues that could go wrong and consequently lead to poor performance or financial loss. Other benefits include:-

  • Early identification of risks
  • Compliance with legal requirements – adequate risk assessment
  • Protection of your license to operate
  • Development of safer processes
  • Reduced operating costs
  • Increased efficiency & profitability
  • Raised stakeholder and public confidence.
